From 2003, Fonderie de Gentilly successfully faced one of its most difficult challenges:
following European Directive 2000/53/EC which prohibited the use of lead in vehicle manufacture, the foundry underwent a complete transformation, becoming also a Zamak foundry, acquiring new technical skills and know-how in a very short space of time.

While still integrating its new skills, it obtained ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 certification in 2004

Now, with its ninety employees, Fonderie de Gentilly has become a major Zamak foundry and still remains one of the leading lead foundries in France.
In the late '70s, Fonderie de Gentilly acquired die-casting machines.

Nuclear medicine took off in the '80s. The company adapted to this new market, producing complete items of equipement and obtained the 1988 "janus" industry award for its isotope handling unit.

in 1989, the foundry's production was enchanced by the arrival of digital machining equipment.

The  automobile division obtained its first E.A.Q.F certification in 1990.

In 1991, the Foundry was expanding rapidly and new premises were created dedicated to automobile sector production.
Founded in Gentilly in 1936.
Fonderie de Gentilly initially speciallised in the manufacture of hunting shot and employed 15 people.

From 1947, the compagny became a supplier to the french automobile industry, manufacturing balance weights. At the same tine it also diversified its production into fine lead shot.

In 1960, a new "nuclear" division was created to manufacture radiation protection equipment.

The company gradually outgrew its original premises, and in 1971 its activities were transfered to Ris-Orangis. At  this time, hunting stot was taken out of production.
