La fonderie
One of the few lead foundries in France, based in Ris-Orangis since 1971. Established in 1936 by the Morane-Saulnier family of industrialists, Gentilly Foundry has continually diversified.

First by making balancing weights for vehicles, then with the expansion of industrial nuclear technology in the 60s and nuclear medicine in the 80s, by producing various equipment for this new clientele.

Gentilly Foundry currently has 72 staff and is exploring new manufacturing and technological routes.

The car industry and nuclear sector remain the core business, with blasting shot, a 'relic' of hunting shot, rounding off a turnover that last year reached € 7·2m, part of which in exports.

At the helm of the Foundry since 1993, Jacques Delevoye took over from his father-in-law, Albert Kronenberger, 'heir' to the Morane-Saulnier dynasty. He confirms that the success of the business is due in large measure to its ability to adapt.
